AnimeFEST is almost here and Valkyrie
Games will be there! Look for us in the Gaming Area. We
will be running no less than six scheduled gaming
demonstrations! Click

to save your spot!!
New pregenerated characters will be provided, however the
games are open to virtually all Stellar Horizons character under
50 TXP. Tactical vehicle combat scenarios will also be
available - so come on out and see how future wars are fought.

Texicon After
Action Report!
Our first trip to Texicon
in Fort Worth was simply wonderful. Interest
began on Friday and continued to build throughout
the convention. As you can see in the pictures
below, attendance was much higher than one would
have expected for such a small venue. Tactical
starship scenarios went off well, while the RPG
demonstrations filled up quickly. More games
could have been run if only we had more GM's to run
them! In short, the convention was a
resounding success thanks to our veteran gamers and
our new fans as well. Needless to say, we will
be back at Texicon next year! |

Akon 23
after action report...
Akon 23 was
outstanding!! Interest was higher than last year. The result
was continuous gaming demonstrations all day Saturday! Gaming
alternated between from tactical starship battles to role-playing
demonstrations and back again! We had a lot of fun and are really
excited about attending next year. Thanks to everyone who came
out!

Valkyrie Games
will be attending the Texicon
convention in Fort Worth on
July 20-22nd!!

We will be hosting a series of
introductory Stellar Horizons games! These are the
perfect introduction to the Stellar Horizons universe and
game system. Nothing needed to play... except you!
We provide dice and a dozen pre-generated characters to choose
from. We will also be unveiling the Stellar Horizons
vehicle combat system at this convention along with Kelly's
Civil and Commercial vehicles! It will be an event you
will not want to miss. |

Mini Akon V
after action report...
Mini Akon V was
a big surprise. Attendance for this little six hour event was was
MUCH larger than many full sized conventions that we've been to.
Because of the short time constraints we ran a unique scenario that
allowed for players to jump in and out as they needed too. It was
an AMAZING success. We had a lot of fun introducing everyone to
Stellar Horizons! We also made a lot of new friends who we are
looking forward to seeing at this year's
Akon 23!

Valkyrie Games will be
attending Mini A-kon V in Denton on February 18th!!
Our event will feature an
introductory role playing scenario that takes place
on a damaged asteroid mining facility. The
characters will make there way through the crippled
facility, each with a different overall goal in
mind.
|
Some are here to repair the reactor and save
the station. Others are here to rescue the crew.
Some have arrived to collect a bounty on a dangerous
criminal, while others are here to steal valuable
information. |

New free content for our
fans on Facebook!
For those of you who have wanted to know more
about the universe of Stellar Horizons, wait no longer.
The
Stellar Horizons Future Historical Society is now on
Facebook to fill in the gaps between the present and the future
that is Stellar Horizons.
First founded in 2057, the Society chronicles
the important events and people who have shaped the modern
interstellar society. Check each day to see what important
event took place on that day and what significance it has had on
the universe in which we travel! |

AnimeFEST
after action report...
AnimeFEST 2012 was
outstanding. We managed to secure an entire room for Stellar
Horizons gaming! We ran a LOT of introductory scenarios for
MANY new gamers. The final playtest previews for the
Stellar Horizons Vehicle Rules went very well. The most
noteworthy scenario saw a group of Crystan fighters knock down an
attacking element of Kir'veran strike craft. Our only problem was
that we were unable to complete our last character centered
demonstration game (ran out of time)...
Oh well, that just means
that we'll be back at AnimeFEST next year!

Stellar Horizons at Akon
22 in Dallas!
I can't believe that its less than a week
away, but A-kon 22 is fast approaching and Valkyrie
Games will be there!
You can find our

where you can see the latest in the
world of Stellar Horizons. We
will also be located in the Gaming
area, in the lobby in front of the
gaming rooms running demonstrations,
playing vehicle combat scenarios, and
having adventures!
Among the events
will be three ready to play introductory
adventures (two on Saturday and one on
Sunday) as well as numerous space combat
demonstrations the highlight of which
will be a major battle of the Contact
War. We hope to see you there!

at the distributor and will be headed to your friendly local

New free downloads
for a New Year!!
Happy 2011 everyone! Last year was a
great year for Stellar Horizons! It saw the release of our
first sourcebook and first adventure pack! This year we
are going to go farther out onto the frontier with Kelly's Civil
and Commercial Vehicles, new downloadable content, a free
adventure pack, and much more!
We begin 2011 with a new
addition to our Deep
Range Discoveries section. It is a free downloadable
article detailing how characters grow and change as they gain
experience points. It helps to explain the capabilities
(and limitations) of an average character at different TXP
levels. Check it out! |
